Oregon Air National Guard Chooses Krew Social to Power 15,000-Person Wings and Eagles Airshow

Klamath Falls, OR – The 173rd Fighter Wing of the Oregon Air National Guard has announced a new partnership with Krew Social, a rising tech platform focused on social wellbeing and community connection, to power the upcoming Wings and Eagles Airshow, expected to draw over 15,000 attendees to Klamath Falls this weekend, July 19–20.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and F-35A Lightning II demonstration team are slated to headline the show, marking the Thunderbirds’ first appearance in Southern Oregon since 2008.

To help manage an event of this scale, the Air National Guard has chosen the Krew app to enhance the visitor experience through its:

  • Interactive map interface to help attendees navigate the expansive outdoor venue
  • Real-time feedback tools to gather attendee input and improve future events
  • Connection pathways for guests interested in learning more about career opportunities in the Air National Guard

Captain Jared Boyer, Innovation Officer-in-Charge of the 173rd Fighter Wing, stated,
“Wings and Eagles is excited to partner with Krew Social, in order to couple our amazing event with their unique interactive platform.  We expect their veteran-owned company, along with our currently serving members, can provide a remarkable air show experience for all.  We encourage all attendees to utilize Krew Social’s features to get the latest updates, newsfeeds, schedules, and more.”

The app will allow attendees to rate individual performances and exhibits, find food, rest areas, and restrooms, and learn more about the planes and performers in real time.

Mike Chahinian, Founder and CEO of Krew Social, shared,
“It’s an incredible honor for Krew to be selected by the Oregon Air National Guard for such a powerful and patriotic event. We built Krew to bring people together through meaningful, shared experiences—and this airshow is the perfect example of that mission in action.”

The Wings and Eagles Airshow is free to the public and will include a wide variety of military and civilian performances, with additional acts to be announced.  All details, including how to access the Krew Social community, can be found at www.wingsandeagles.org.
